BBBS of Bradford County began with a small group of community members who wanted to make a difference in the lives of children. The dream became a reality when the local chapter of BBBS became incorporated in 1991. The first match between an adult and child was in 1993 and over 325 matches have been made since then. Every adult volunteer spends 4 - 8 hours every 2 weeks with their "Little." Over the years the adult volunteers have created magical moments in the lives of children. Many times the adult's impact allows for the relationship to be pivotal in the child's life and at times the relationship extends through adulthood. In 1999 our Big Buddy program began, which matches older students with younger students. This agency maintains full membership in the national organization of Big Brother Big Sisters of America.
